Downtown Disney Resort Area
Downtown Disney has a long list of entertainment options for the whole family – including teens; from unique shopping and dining experiences to movies, live entertainment and attractions. Downtown Disney is a great place to take a break from the parks. No park tickets are required, and there is always something going on there to keep everyone occupied.
There is always something new in this part of the “World.” Pleasure Island is being revitalized, and some new and exciting things are coming soon, like the upscale bowling and billiards of Splitsville. Teenagers will be able to bowl and play pool at Splitsville all day, and then after 8PM it will become a place for adults to play.
Downtown Disney is accessible to all the resorts of Walt Disney World by bus, but the trip from many of them is notoriously long. The resorts in the Downtown Disney Resort Area have the benefit of easy access to Downtown Disney and all of its diversions, while still being convenient to the parks.
