✔ Non-Disney fun
The guest rooms at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista were recently refurbished (2010), and each room has a private balcony.
Pool
The “Y” shaped outdoor pool on the hotel’s sundeck is heated and has an 8-foot deep end. There is music played by the pool, but no lifeguards.
Fitness Center
There’s a fitness center with cardiovascular and strength training equipment.
Trader Island Restaurant
This restaurant offers a buffet style breakfast, with great variety – yogurt to fresh fruit, and hot items, like “make your own” Mickey waffles. The open air, tropically-themed restaurant is also open for dinner.
Official Disney Store
You’ll definitely feel like you’re vacationing at Disney World, with an official Disney Store at your hotel. This store sells much of the same merchandise that you can get on property.
Arcade
The arcade has a combination of video games, pinball and air hockey.
Keep in touch with your friends back home
Free high speed wireless internet is available in guest rooms and public areas.
Fireworks
The Best Western Lake Buena Vista is eighteen stories tall, which means there are great views from the top floors. There are guestrooms available with a view of the Disney park fireworks, but there is a premium charge for them. No view room? No problem! Try an exterior stairwell above the 8th floor on the West side of the hotel.
Enjoy Downtown Disney area and the parks
Being close to the downtown Disney area is a key advantage to this resort. You can walk the three blocks, or hop on a shuttle to explore Downtown Disney. You can also take a boat from the downtown Disney marina to Saratoga Springs, Old Key West or the Port Orleans resorts. Downtown Disney is a transportation hub, so you can catch a bus to explore any Disney resort.
Best Western Lake Buena Vista also provides a free shuttle to the Disney parks that departs every half hour.
Looking for some non-Disney fun?
Catch a shuttle to the Premium Outlets for some shopping, or play miniature golf at Pirate’s Cove in the nearby Crossroads Shopping Center.
“A Teen’s Guide to Walt Disney World” is not affiliated with Best Western Lake Buena Vista! Our mission is to uncover the teen-friendly features of the parks, resorts and entertainment areas all over Walt Disney World.
