Helping you discover the Teen-Friendly side of Walt Disney World, and showing families that Disney World is for teenagers!

A Teen's Guide to Walt Disney World

A reference for the traveling teen.

Places to eat

As a general rule, Hollywood Studios is not known for its food, but we have managed to find quite a few “teen-friendly” recommendations.

Pizza Planet

The pizza here is fine, but we weren’t really thinking of the food when we chose to include it here. Just like the restaurant of the same name from the Toy Story movie, Pizza Planet features a video game arcade on the first floor.

You’ll find Pizza Planet on the Streets of America, across from the MuppetVision 3D Theater.

The Writer’s Stop

Stop in to this charming little bookshop, also on the Streets of America.  The shop is a great way to spend a snack credit, as everything on the menu is priced below $4.00. You can get a real, barista-made cup of coffee (note: not the Nescafe that is served elsewhere in the world,) or try a snack like the legendary Carrot Cake Cookie.  There are soft places to sit and enjoy your snack in climate-controlled comfort. The Writer’s Stop has a relaxing atmosphere, and is rarely busy.

 Starring Rolls Café

This tiny café is close to the busy intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard. Not surprisingly, you’ll find that this place gets very busy.  But it is a good place to grab something to eat on the way to the thrilling twin attractions on Sunset. You can get a bagel, sandwich, or pastry here, and the Butterfinger Cupcake is wildly popular.

Sci-Fi Diner

Dine under the stars – at any time of day – at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. You can sit inside a classic convertible and eat while watching sci-fi and monster movie clips from the 50’s and 60’s on a huge movie screen – just like at the old drive-in movie theaters.

You’ll probably need a reservation to eat here, but the atmosphere inside is wonderfully unique.

50’s Prime Time

Take a seat in “mom’s” 1950’s kitchen, complete with checkered floor and formica topped tables, and enjoy some American comfort food. Your server, masquerading as your “mom” or “brother” or “cousin” will make sure that you eat all your vegetables!

If you don’t like to be singled-out, you may not like eating here, but the portions are large, the food is generally considered good, and the atmosphere is lively.
