Tomorrowland
This section of the park is a favorite with teens, and you’ll find something to do here at any time of day.
Space Mountain
This headliner attraction is a favorite with thrill seeking teens. The ride is an indoor coaster, and you’ll experience sharp turns and drops in total darkness. For a shorter wait in the Standby line, ride this attraction first thing in the morning. Use Fastpass any other time of day.
Astro Orbiter
From the ground this ride looks like a space-aged version of Dumbo, but the experience is much different. The rockets fly higher and faster, and perched on the second floor as it is, the ride gives you a fantastic view of Tomorrowland and beyond.
Like Dumbo, this attraction is slow to load, and there is no Fastpass. You can minimize your wait time by riding early in the morning, or saving it until the evening. Ride after dark for great views of the Magic Kingdom at night.
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
The TTA has a fast moving line, and the tram-like cars take you on a relaxing ride above Tomorrowland. You get a peek inside the Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear rides, and you’ll feel cool breezes as you round corners. This ride is a good place to get off your feet, and might be a good alternative to the nearby “Carousel of Progress.”
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
This ride takes you inside an oversized arcade game in a car that spins 360 degrees at your command. Use a joystick to line up to targets, and shoot them with the laser guns that are mounted to the dashboard. Successful hits are recorded on a light up scoreboard as you compete against your fellow passenger.
In general, targets that are further away are worth more than targets that are close to you, but there are special opportunities for big points in this ride. Be on the lookout for a large orange robot on your left. Turn around and shoot the target on the back of his arm. (Your car will fight you – it automatically turns you away from this target.) Also, keep an eye out for a Volcano. You can earn big points here, too.
Lines will typically be shorter in the morning or late afternoon, but you can also ride using Fastpass for a shorter wait mid-day.
Tomorrowland Arcade
There is an arcade and gift shop located at the exit to Space Mountain. If you enjoy video games and skeeball and have some time to kill, this is a great place to hang out.
Push the talking trashcan (TL)
Push is a radio-controlled robot that roams around Tomorrowland. You can most often find him outside of the Merchant of Venus and Mickey’s Star Traders shops. (Look around and you’ll see a plain-clothed cast member not too far behind.)
For some entertaining people watching, stop and watch Push interact with guests.
