Using Fastpass to your Advantage
No matter which attractions you choose to visit at Disney World, the key to riding the ones you like more than once is to understand the Fastpass system, and then start collecting Fastpasses early in the day. Once you have a set of Fastpasses, look for the fastpass return time and then get another set as soon as you’re able.
Rules for Fastpasses:
1. You can only use tickets that have been activated to get a Fastpass. This means everyone must have used his or her ticket to enter the park before it will work. BUT not everyone needs to scan his or her own ticket to get a Fastpass. Instead, a fast pass runner can take all the tickets to collect the next Fastpass while the rest of the group does something else.
2. If you have a group member that doesn’t want to ride, scan their ticket anyway. Fastpasses are transferrable to anyone in your group.
3. If you’re traveling with younger siblings who don’t meet the height requirement or don’t want to ride, use child swap. This means that you wait in line together, and tell the first Cast Member you see that you want to do a child swap. They will send the group of riders ahead. The remaining adult (who stays behind with the non-riding child) will be given instructions on how to ride after the first group returns. When the adult who was left behind gets to ride, they can take up to two people with them. This means that some members of your group will get back-to-back rides!
